We have remediated this website against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 at level AA. Our own pages now meet that standard. We know that one part is not yet fully accessible, and it is listed in the technical section below. It is produced by a third-party application embedded in the site rather than by our own pages, and we are working with the supplier to resolve it.

Non-accessible content

The content listed below is not yet fully accessible.

  • One control in the customer reviews section on product pages does not have an accessible name, so a screen reader cannot announce what it does (WCAG 2.2 success criterion 4.1.2 Name, Role, Value). This reviews section is supplied by a third party and is served inside an embedded frame, which means we are not able to correct it from our own code. We have raised it with the supplier.

Content that is not within the scope of the accessibility regulations

Payment and checkout pages are provided by our ecommerce platform and are hosted by that platform rather than by us. We are not able to change how those pages are built.

What we are doing to improve accessibility

We are working with the supplier of the customer reviews section to resolve the item listed above, and we will update this statement once it is fixed. We test the accessibility of this website on an ongoing basis, and we intend to commission an independent accessibility audit.

Testing covered the home page, a product page, the shopping cart, search results, the frequently asked questions page, the contact page and account sign-in. It was carried out using automated accessibility testing tools, manual keyboard testing of the full purchase journey, and a screen reader review. Testing was carried out internally by Bottled Science Ltd.
